We place great emphasis on giving children the basic and fundamental skills they need to tackle the world around them. The ability to read; to listen; to communicate ideas clearly, orally and in writing, using English is vitally important in daily life.

Reading and spelling are taught using a wide range of phonically-based materials; handwriting is practised, and as children progressively acquire skills, their confidence grows and their individual talents are allowed to develop.
