In mathematics, the children become competent gaining a practical understanding, which enables them to calculate and solve problems in a wide variety of contexts.

As young children's concentration is generally better in the morning, the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science are invariably taught before lunch where possible.

All the core elements of the National Curriculum are covered, but we go further. Our independent status allows us to be imaginative and spontaneous in our teaching so that we can encourage a real love of learning. Specialist teaching and small classes give us greater opportunities to provide a little extra support if it's needed or to pose more challenging questions to extend a round mind.
