Exams Results and Entry - 2006
Key Stage 1 SATs were taken by our Yr 2 pupils last year. The 24 children were assessed for reading, comprehension, spelling and mathematics. 2B is the National average level and 24 children achieved this level. However, between them our Yr 2 children scored 15 Level 2As and 27 Level 3s. Six children achieved Level 3 in all subjects.
Key Stage 2 SATs were taken by our Yr 6 pupils. Level 4 is the National average at KS2 and to gain Level 5 is quite special. Of the 14 Yr 6 pupils who took the exams in 2006, 11 achieved at least one Level 5. There were, in fact, 29 Level 5s obtained.
In the mathematics paper, 93% reached Level 4 or above and there were 8 Level 5s.
In the Science paper, we had 93% reaching Level 4 or above, and there were 10 level 5s.
We had a brilliant result in English, with 100% of the children achieving Level 4 and 10 obtaining Level 5.
Seven pupils achieved Level 5 in all subjects.
All of the Yr 6 pupils leaving Silverhill in July 2006 were offered places at schools of their choice for September. Three of them have been awarded scholarships or bursaries.
