Mrs Allen was born in London and moved to Bristol when she was nine years old. Apart from one 12 month period she has lived here ever since.  Sarah qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1982. She then spent a year working in the maternity department of ‘The London Hospital’, before returning to work at Bristol’s Hartcliffe Day Nursery for nine years.

Both of Mrs Allen’s children have attended Silverhill. Her daughter was in a Transition Class when, in 1990, Sarah came to “help out” in the Nursery. She has stayed at Silverhill ever since.

Away from school Sarah’s interests are sport, reading and the cinema.
