Mission & Aims
The Principal and Headmistress of Silverhill School and Day Nursery, Julian and Jenifer Capper, firmly believe that the care and education of our pupils must be based on an open and harmonious relationship between school and parent. It is a shared responsibility in which all our staff at Silverhill are privileged to play their part.
We aim to offer the children every opportunity to explore the world and come to understand their place within it through a broad-based curriculum. With inspiring teachers and many ways to enhance their educational experience through Sports, Arts, Music Drama and also Forest Skills, the children are able to develop their potential in a variety of disciplines.
We came to Silverhill School in 2006 as new owners with a challenging agenda. During these years the school has achieved ‘Outstanding’ ratings by OFSTED in the quality and standard of its provision in its Early Years and its Main School.
Jenifer & Julian Capper
During our years at Silverhill School it has been our mission to offer families living within or moving into our catchment area a well-established and family-orientated school that provides children, from an early age, with an excellent and happy start to their education.
We believe that a harmonious relationship between the school with its teachers and the parents with their carers is such an important partnership in caring for the development of our children.
This is Silverhill School’s commitment.
- To give the children the best start in life by developing their independence, self-confidence and self-esteem.
- To foster a love of learning, encouraging every child to reach their potential.
- To create an environment of inclusion, kindness and respect for others.
